Guys, has anyone encountered or is encountering (it seemed tht last update they did was to much)code 204? I asked on the forums and sent in a ticket, but no answer so far. It just wont let me into the game b/c HS cant update. Lots of ppl are having this problem after that update and i hope they fix it soon. But for now, i can't play Sad

go to my computer > Local disk > Nexon folder > Combat arm folder > Hshield folder > HSUpdate.exe That shouls update the hshield

This seems to be one of those "headache" problems...

Try the basics..uninstall combat arms, then run CCleaner and use the built-in registry cleaner part, then try and reinstall combat arms..

Haha thanks daddy, i tried EVERYTHING (including urs) that all of us in the forums came up w/...but still no luck, its 99.99999% a problem after nexon's "maintenance"..so they are gonna fix it in the next update i hope, but that means i will be out for the next little while (which is good, i guess Sad , cuz i can focus on studying for exams)

1. Reboot your computer

2. Launch Combat Arms and see if you still get disconnected. If you are, proceed to Step 3.

3. Erase the HShield folder and all files within. This folder can be found in the Combat Arms installation folder (usually located in the C Drive - C:\Nexon\Combat Arms).

4. Download the new files from http://download3.nexon.net/Game/CombatArms/Hackshield/HShield.zip

5. Extract the contents of the ZIP file you downloaded in the Combat Arms installation folder. A new HShield folder will be created.

6. Run the game

Ya i tried that also, i got a reply for my second ticket..but wat u know..the response was EXACTLY the same as the last one

Download ccleaner

and run registry cleaner or fixer.

and try combat arms

P.S If you don't trust ccleaner or never heard of it ask other people if they know about it. I am 100% sure ccleaner is legit and it doesn't have keyloggers or virus

Haha itsjohn, i have that also and i believe i did conduct a registry repair as well. I thank you though for the support u've given me, certainty much more than the nexon support has for the last 5 yrs that i played their game. Don't have to worry too much, i have somewhat faith that they will get this fix.

for a while, my "windows reliability monitor" was stuck at rock bottom because CA kept crashing xD

On a brighter note, Nexon is "investigating" into this and i am hoping that tonight's patch will fix this problem once and for all. So i am hoping i will see u guys back in to the game soon..very soon (fingers crossed)

You may need to manually update your Hacksheild, -Hime- Provided a how-to (Thank you -Hime-):

If you are getting frequent disconnections, there's a good chance that your Hackshield folder is not updating properly when you start Combat Arms. Please follow these steps in an attempt to resolve the issue:

1. Reboot your computer

2. Launch Combat Arms and see if you still get disconnected. If you are, proceed to Step 3. 3. Erase the HShield folder and all files within. This folder can be found in the Combat Arms installation folder (usually located in the C Drive - C:\Nexon\Combat Arms).

4. Download the new files from http://download3.nexon.net/Game/CombatArms/Hackshield/HShield.zip

5. Extract the contents of the ZIP file you downloaded in the Combat Arms installation folder. A new HShield folder will be created.

6. Run the game

If this does not resolve the issue, please uninstall the client and redownload the full client.
