XFX Radeon 5850 (single)
corsair 850-hx PSU
HAF 932 (Cooler master case)
WD 640 GB Caviar Black HDD
and a few extra xigmatek fans (best fans EVER! look sick, are quite, and perform well. mine are orange!)

it was a very rewarding experience! the first time putting everything together it felt so strange and foreign. but then next time i had to take things off and put them back on it was like second nature, not thoughts involved lol.

and for bee, congrats on your first day of school. do well and have a pleasant year!

haha, no computer classes at all. but i did spend a good 3 or so months actively reading and participating at Tom's Hardware (tomshardware.com) forums, until i learned all that i needed to understand what parts work together and what's a good configuration, and so on. basically learning the part compatibilities, led me to understand how and why certain things in a computer work. and that was enough to get me interested in building it myself.
as for the actual putting together of parts, well to be honest it was like lego. i read the instructions before hand, and then when putting everything together, just in case reffed to the manuals and all went well. it was scary at first, because you dont know how hard you can push or how rough you can be but in the end it was all worthwhile.

dont worry about it. if you are really interested, spend some time on the some pc building forums to get a basic understanding. then just keep up with the news of new technology so that you dont get too outdated. then, maybe one day when the money and time allows you to, you can bolster enough courage to build one yourself.
if u ever need any advice or anything feel free to ask me. i'll try to point you in the right direction.

I have no idea what so ever what my shitty comp is made of. I'd say like the default crap that microsoft would put in their comps idk. But this baby runs combat arms goooooooooooooood, except for 8 on 8 sometimes.
