K bro. She's just some random girl who happens to "Fall in love with him" and just gets killed off. I know they are trying to emphasize how easy it is to die in the game, but do they have to go that far? that's just not good story telling. And if you want to watch something sad watch Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae wo Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai. Anohana for short.

They pulled something similar Guilty Crown that episode. They're like Fuck yeah let's let these people that have nothing to do with the plot or anything die for no reason just so we can get more fking popular.

Meh it's all just to develop Kirito's character more. They don't really develop anything too much and just sorta rush through everything. I'm looking through the light novel volumes and like the latest one has one of those random guys in the opening and that's volume 8. We're in the beginning of Volume 1 and 2, 2 is in between volume 1 for some strange reason. So uh, I have no idea how long tihs anime's gonna last lol. Doesn't seem like that girl appears again anywhere though...so I think she's really dead lol
