It seems there is room here for a metal thread in here, let's talk about it, everybody's welcome: black, death, power, just bring it.

Brutal technical death is my cup of tea, and I'm currently rocking to Necrophagist's "Onset of Putrefaction".

Any forumers listen to this fine style of music?

wow theyre pretty good. but i dont like growling or screaming, which sucks because so many bands that have an awesome sound also growl.. ruins it for me. i need to get over it.

i also like the heavier songs with that minor key tonality. theres a band that ive come across called mastery. theyve kinda got that sound but theyre too thrashy for me. so im always in the middle.

the main heavies i like are john 5, Rammstein, and xenogenocide.
korn and system of a down are pretty good too but they cant keep that heavy sound for too long.

Yeah, it's often what turns off people from those bands. It's something that really has to grow on you, I've heard so much of it (and learned how to do it) that now I find it's a perfectly valid way to sing You could listen to some Opeth, they mix up growling and clear singing in a really cool way!

i like system of a down... but they broke up i liked them cause of the way they sang... which was FAST and cuz they were armenian! u dont see an armenian metal band like that anymore ... today only the lead singer is continuing his talent. Serj Tankian. he was the head singer (ithink) and he's at a world tour right now soo :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Black Metal, Death Metal, Thrash Metal are my favorites.

Good stuff man. If you like Death, make sure to check out Cynic and Atheist. These three bands basically defined the death metal sound in the early '90s. They may seem a bit outdated now, with all the new extreme stuff coming out, but it's good to go back where it all began.
