2012 end of da world or not?

the reason why people believe that earth will cease to exist, whether by human or natural means, is due to the existence of the Mayan calendar. apparently the calendar that was made by the ancient culture only went up to the year 2012. so automatically the retards out there assume that Mayans predicted an end of the earth and did not make more days after 2012 as the reason.
however, had anyone considered that they got lazy? i mean how long into the future can you possibly make the calendar. you had to stop somewhere! which is what i believe the Mayans did. they stopped at 2012! not by reason but simply by choice!

so the answer is no never!

the only reason people think its plausible is because of the other forces that happen on that date. the aligning of the milky way and our solar system is supposed to be on that date. so people think that could mess up our planet's magnetic field or something.

but yeah. they probably just ran out of room on that ginormous circle they had.

I am 100.000001% sure that we will not all die nor there will be a catostraphic event in 2012 that with threaten all of humanity.
Although an interesting fact is that if all the humans die, the world would thrive within 5 years more than it ever has with us here, and if something like all the insects died the ecosystem we know would be completey fucked within 5 years. yeahh haha

Although i don't disagree with the idea that our crazy amount of co2 emmissions are killing our Earth, the Earth has its cycles that spans over millions of years. So the mere fact the climate is changing is nothing new. It will invevitably happen no matter what we do. I do agree strongly with decreasing our carbon footprint though

HA! u know whats going on there? the sun is actually dying. it slowly cools and the sun slowly expands into a red giant. the darker colors mean its cooler. red = coolest. white = hottest. but those are only white dwarfs. the more common hot ones are blue giants which are fking hot. hotter than our sun. anyways since our sun is quite small it should expand into a red giant and then consume mercury and venus and slowly roast us. after itll lose all of its juice and shrink into a white dwarf which as i said is hot because thats where the rest of the hydrogen and other gases are still burning. the gravitational pull however will be shrunken down very dramatically and the planets in the solar system will drift out into space. without heat earth will freeze and all life will die. but by then our magnetic field might already be burned away from the suns solar rays and thus we have no protection and thus the atmosphere burns away and all life suffocates.

by that time hopefully we have found a different planet

and i'll be dead by then. so idc.

We are looking at 5 billion years for this to happen. I read a book about it.

yes but in three billion year we're looking at the possibility of the closest galaxy to ours, the Andromeda galaxy, crash into ours and both of ours merge. this could mean that a: our solar system slams into another and both our suns draw each other in and we all get sucked into the sun (THAT WOULD SUCKKKKK) or b: the arm of the galaxy that we're on swings around and misses the arms of andromeda's so all that would happen is we have a FANTASTIC star show and we remain totally fine. and from simulations by scientists the latter is more likely to happen.
