Re: To Gilgamesh
You should get a screenshot of his application, the video/screen of him saying he hates pandemonium and then kicking you (in game), then his posts here on the forums.
Nexon rarely will use evidence from sites other then nexon to ban someone for harrassment, but it has happenned. Its obvious that this guy is trolling and harassing, it might take nexon a while to actually get around to it, but with enough evidence they will slap him with a suspension and if he doesnt take that hint, eventually a ban.

Re: To Gilgamesh
Note : -- i pretty much TL;DR'd a lot of the drama going on, so this post is the REVENGE OF THE WALL OF TEXT. RAAAAAAAAAWR --
ok guys... drama much?? I may not know much about this unfolding drama... and i don't plan on knowing or caring much about it.
However, we need to get some facts straight here regarding this location... As well as some facts regarding CBL staff members? lol...
being a staff member, i'll start with the cbl staff related mess up.
Y the hate bro? It's a requirement to be above the age of 18 to even be on staff. So how can most of us be under 18?
Even though we, staff members, all have our own opinions (as does every human in the world), we all abide by very strict guidelines and have a substantially large amount of information to understand and attempt to commit to memory. Even suggesting that a staff member is not going to make a mistake or forget about one thing in specific is just ludicrous. CBL has received over 115,000 reports. To not have a mistake in any of those? even when two people review the decision made before it is seen publicly? mistakes do happen.
Not to mention, the actual people evaluating reports at CBL will give you answers, and when we are wrong, we correct them honestly and welcome people showing us our mistakes so we can fix them. We're humans, it happens. Pretty much the most you will get out of someone actually making money for nexon is an automated response. The majority of the people working on the nexon forums who are frequently helping people are actually volunteer moderators, not paid staff.
The fact that we show which reports are confirmed, allow for room for questioning, show how we operate, put out our information of who CBL evaluators, confirmers, etc. are, is sooooo much more than you will ever receive from nexon. The fact that it is even suggested that we know about these specific lag spots and nexon doesn't is evidence enough that we may in fact be more reliable than nexon. We have very very high standards on reports as well, verifying that EVERY image sent into CBL is not edited in any way or form, in order to bring peace of mind to the community knowing that images that are sent in are real. We don't even know if nexon verifies whether or not images are edited. If one pixel is edited on an image, CBL will void the report, even if it does not change the outcome of the image. We can arguably be less reliable than nexon in a sense, but what more can volunteers do for a community they love?
We don't know how nexon operates. But when reports like these come in from people in the community to CBL, they see it gets voided and they dispute it with "NO HE'S GLITCHING T.T.T.T.T..T.T..T.T.TTTTTT.T.T.T". We then respond, when it usually goes to a forum post, so people can even see publicly what has happened. Nexon, on the other hand, may not even give you a response, they may give you an automated response, etc. At CBL, you know you will get an answer, even though you may not like it.
I'm not bashing nexon as much here as I am defending CBL... you know what i'm done talking CBL right now, let me just talk about this specific video causing you guys all this trouble and drama.
Ok. This "nexon glitch spot" is called "lag spots" by CBL terms, and will be voided as "possible lag". ((Was this even a report to CBL? i'm well aware of the forum on CBL, although i don't see, cough cough, a report ID for me to be referring to.))
Lag spots are very specific and different for EVERY map. However, we do know exactly where it happens, and we know that it happens there every time, there is no wiggle room for where it occurs. (unless nexon changes it's coding to the extent that this lag spot gets distorted, but of'coarse we hope that they just fix it all together)
"I've never been stuck halfway in the roof" -- Exactly. That is why the lag spots are so filled with drama. On Guildamage or Johns screen, it appears as if Rav3n is glitching in the roof, despite his possible chatting in game, etc. However, on Rav3ns screen, he is running around normally, shooting normally, killing people on his screen as if normal. However, if someone kills him while he is in that location, even by a knife, he will die where he himself, rav3n, is located on the map.
This is why he thought he got opk'd. He literally, on his screen, got opk'd. He literally, on your guy's screen, looked like he was glitching. Did you guys notice how he was not responding to your actions? Did you notice that his death tag was located somewhere else on the map when you killed him?
All of the evidence of this location is that it is LAG. but not just lag on rav3ns side, it is also lag on the viewers side, client side lag. That means that you, guildamage, could also very well need a better internet connection, even though it is just server lag and has nothing to do with your internets... lololol cbl knowledge ftw right? But ya, if there are 8 people on bravo, there may very well only be 5 of you seeing rav3n located where he is based on server lag when you joined the game, as well as other factors. It's completely lag based by mostly the server, followed by the viewer of said person, then the actual person himself.
Also very specific to lag spots, is the mines floating towards where the player will be located. Have you guys ever seen mines flying through the air at a rapid rate? Take my video of a lag spot that CBL uses for brushwood as an example:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t_menHnObqE
Notice how mines and medkits all triangulate to one location on the map. If this were Two Towers, those mines would all be going to an open space just below the roof, where Rav3ns feet would be located. This lag is mostly caused by a large amount of, you guessed it?, mines and medkits located on the map.
With this being said, the problems seems to have originated in the fact that this nexon lag error has caused rav3n to think you guys hack via OPK, which is exactly what this looks like on his screen. And you guys think that rav3n glitches, which is exactly what it appears to look like on your guy's screen. There are ways to tell the difference, and the untrained eye usually will not catch it.
Now, despite all of the harassment and swearing or evidence collecting going on, you guys have to understand his concern. He literally appears to be glitching, and with what i talked about earlier about the lack of communication between nexon and the community, he may very well be banned for lagging. We know for a fact that he will not become CBL dirty for this spot, since we know about it as well as 15+ other lag spots on different maps.
If he had a video of that game, it would show him, as he said, in his spawn, then suddenly dying out of nowhere, like he got opk'd. There are slight differences between this type of lag death and an actual opk, which Nexon may not notice but CBL may very well notice. If rav3n had the footage of that game, he could very well get john banned for opk hacking when he didn't do a single thing wrong, except kill someone he thought was glitching >.> and not lagged.
(never kill anyone if you think they are lagging, or you are lagging, just to cover for yourself. IE, if people are running in place and you are not, which is what happened to Tickled_, and you guys all know how that turned out.)
1800 words? that's longer than the essay i handed in for english >.>
gl getting something equivalent from nexon. ktnxbaiii~
this post kinda sounded a bit aggressive, but there's a lot of misunderstanding with how CBL operates, what we actually do and don't do, etc. There are also a lot of people that are unsatisfied with the responses with give them, especially when we void their reports, and they go on CBL raging sprees spreading rumors of cbl admins hacking via megaphone, or even them labeling people dirty falsely without evidence, etc etc.
It's very frustrating, so i hope you guys can understand how i feel about this as well when people claim that we aren't even a "solid reference", or we actually just cover our own asses and are hackers ourselves, and are hiding behind our position of cbl staff / admin, or we only void reports because we just hate the reporter with a passion, and we don't abide by our own guidelines, or automatically confirm reports by our friends or other staff members. It's especially infuriating when people assume we have to be perfect, and that since we aren't perfect we are unreliable, not responsible, you name it. The last thing i needed today was a 1800 word post about CBL, i'd rather be evaluating reports of hackers by the community, for the benefit of all of CA, which is the only reason CBL actually exists.

Thank you for providing us with some detail on how CBL actually operates. It was very informative.
I think we as a clan have already come to the conclusion that Rav3n was not glitching but rather it was a major lag spot as you have stated earlier. I know you won't care as much now but it's just one of those haters on our clans and stuff before who had some randomn beef with someone. So yea i kno you don't really care for this drama stuff but just to let you know.
On a sidenote: where have u been lately? >.< loool I haven't seen you on in a while.

i personally haven't played since 1/4/11 due to nexon error code -204, having to do with my anti-virus program not being compatible with some hackshield files. too much work to fix it when im only going to play ~1hour a week or so. not to mention having to do a lot of work for school / college prep.

Blanca- My mistake for the under 18 bit, i could swear that id seen a few players on the staff list at some point that were under 18.
Its not hate directed at cbl, its hate directed at players like raven who are unable to make their own opinions so take another's opinion as gospel. While 99% of the time CBL makes the correct call theyre not perfect as they are only human and as far as im concerned their opinion is no more valuable then any other player i respect.
I love having a community site like CBL, they offer a very valuable service and i commend anyone who volunteers there. That being said, if Nexon had a better customer service and took care of their reports in a more timely manner, CBL wouldn't be necessary.
As far as the issue with raven, i understood what had happenned to him based on the video and could tell that it was some form of lag causing him to be halfway in the roof, but I just don't see why after all the harassment he would think that gilga would induldge him. I garuntee that if raven wasnt a rage kicking qq noob harassing pandemonium every time he sees them then gilga would have willingly taken down or changed the name of his video. In fact, gilga might have done so had raven came and apologised, said he realised he was lagging and that he made the mistake on kicking gilga and his hatred towards Pandemonium. Instead he came here raging, qqing, and being an overall douche.

Re: To Gilgamesh
toooo much drama!~~ looks away
<-- not a compliance guy, hate discussing drama issues like the arguing going back and forth. thought i'd at least inform you guys of the specific info regarding in the lag that occurred, so you guys could more easily understand each others point of views.
i was actually on staff when i was 17 and 3/4th's, an admin actually asked for me to apply for a staff position, so that's why i think i got in under 18. as for anyone else, i'm not sure. Most staff are either in college, or have children older than i am :O

Re: To Gilgamesh
mm well the whole ordeal was coming from raven after i put up a vid thinking that he glitched intentionally. to put it simply, he was typing a lot and when i found him in there i shot him and he kicked me for "opking" (so he says. he would've kicked me anyways.) thats basically it.
and as just some backup stuff in raven's favor and supporting blanca:
found dis guy.
killed him. and then
he's actually there.
both taken immediately after each other. see score, kills, ammo, time... map? etc.

Re: To Gilgamesh
Blanca- I for some reason remember there being a 16 year old kid on the staff, but i could just be remembering wrong. And yeah i understood where he was coming from and all and did assume lag, i hadnt realized that you can "lag" and appear in the roof like that when not moving, i just figured he fell through the mesh. Still i dont think gil should give do as raven asks, if he gets banned then its nothing more then he deserves.
And no drama just discussion and forum pwning raven. ^^

Re: To Gilgamesh
if you look at the time stamps on the bottom right you can see 161947, followed by 161953 in the next screenshot. those numbers indicate hours, min, then seconds. so 16 hours, 19minutes, 47 seconds, also known as 4:19:47, next screenshot is taken 6 seconds later.
the numbers before that indicate year / month / day. 2011, 02, 23.
that is how you actually prove how immediate screenshots are taken, and to be certain they are from the same game.
(next time you upload don't have imageshack resize the screenshot, any image sent to CBL like that would be voided for IRI, imageshack resize issue)
edit: don't remember a 16 year old on staff... it might have been one of the admins sons that joined staff temporarily to help out. not 100% sure.
